CORPORATE PHILANTHROPY

Charity is one of the essential components of Siemens’ social responsibility concept. It represents an important connection between the company and the location where it is active.

  • Five years ago, the Siemens Aid Fund charity project was established. Its goal was to unify all the charitable donations of our company provided to non-profit organizations in the territory of the entire Czech Republic. During the project’s existence, we have received 1,430 grant applications, the grant committee has met sixty times, and more than 200 projects have been selected. We have supported the selected projects with almost CZK 12 million. And not only that: within the framework of the Siemens Aid Fund, we have started focusing on corporate volunteering, free training of non-profit organizations, and have for several years purchased gifts for Siemens’ customers from sheltered workshops. The Siemens Aid Fund was established in June 2004 and in 2005 it became a benchmark project of the worldwide Siemens Caring Hands program.
  • We are members of the Donator – Club of Corporate Donors.
  • Within the framework of active cooperation with the Donator – Club of Corporate Donors, we became one of the founding members of the Standard Responsible Corporation group in the Czech Republic.
